CSS invests in $15 M in BPO facility in Taguig City

new BPO facility in Taguig CityCybernet-Slash Support (CSS), a leading enterprise and consumer support services organization headquartered in California, has committed $15-million investments for a 2,000-seat technology support and service center in Taguig City in its bid to be a strong player in the Philippine BPO sector.

Wednesday, CSS inaugurated its fully operational 1,000-seat service delivery unit at Taguig City, Fort Bonifacio, which offers multi-lingual customer services, retention services, inbound and outbound sales, technology and other integrated BPO services covering 8 industry verticals for North American and European customers.

The company intends to double its headcount in the Philippines within the 2010 fiscal year, according to CSS CEO nick Sharma. “The Philippines BPO industry is witnessing a very interesting phase of business outsourcing.”

“The Philippines has emerged as one of the key global hubs for the BPO industry. We felt this is the most opportune time to expand our capabilities in this country,” he explained.

He cited the country’s “highly conducive business atmosphere, a vast talent pool with the right skill set for consumer and technical support, multilingual capabilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure” as the reason. Read more...
