Sutherland to expand RP BPO operations

Sutherland Global Services adds two new sites in RP.Sutherland Global Services, world’s leading provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and technology-enabled services and the fastest growing BPO firm in the Philippines, mulls the addition of two new sites in the country on back of its expanding reach and robust growth of its mostly Fortune 1000 global clients.

Dilip Vellodi, chairman and CEO of Sutherland Global Services, told Manila Bulletin during a teleconference call that the planned two new campuses or sites would be located in Metro Manila and the other in a Manila suburb.

Vellodi has refused to divulge the details of the new campuses, but said the company will continue investing in the Philippines, one of Sutherland’s biggest operations with over 10,000 employees in a span of 5 years. Sutherland has six campuses in the country namely, Taguig, Makati, Clark, Tarlac, Camarines Sur, and Davao offering an integrated set of front and back office services that support the entire customer lifecycle. “The Philippines will continue to be a beneficiary of our growth,” Vellodi said.

Vellodi cited the Philippines for its huge pool of qualified talent, cost efficiency and the commitment of the government to provide necessary infrastructure and business-friendly environment as main factors that allow BPO firms to grow here.
