The BPO industry is more than just recovering from a slump in 2009, said Oscar Sañez, Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) CEO, citing results of the survey. It was, in fact, “diversifying and transforming as a result of increased demand for non-voice and more complex services.” But Sañez still sees a need to address industry challenges to ensure rapid growth and continued expansion of the BPO sector. “People issues are still a top concern. In the short term, it is important that next month’s elections take place in a transparent and credible fashion to improve investor perception,” Sañez said in a statement.
